Military Bio: It was a short story in Stalag IV, but long battle to win. After being captured at the age of 19 I was taken to Stalag IV for a week, from there me and others were transfered to another location. There we had to march for the entire 10 months that I was interned. We slept in the field and had no water, food, toilets, or medication, we had nothing at ll.On occasion we did steal food from the farmers vegetable mounds. We were covered with lice and those little critters were eating us alive. Bravely enough I held on till I was liberated, it is my sincere hope that there will be no more wars. (Non Solum Arms) |
My Message to Future Generations: Being a veteran of W.W.II and a Prisoner Of War for almost a year, I would like to pass this on: You will never know what freedom is untill you loose it. I hope and pray it never happens to you, today, tomarrow, or in the future. |
